A Q&A with Nick Green;
What inspired you to transition from a media reporter to a mortgage broker?
Having purchased a property in my 20s, I found myself constantly fascinated by the property market. My experience with a mortgage broker during my first purchase was excellent – not only did the broker secure financing for me, they also guided me on how to negotiate with the agent and what questions to ask. When I was ready for the next challenge in my career, transitioning to a mortgage broker seemed like a natural fit.
How do you use your background in property investments to benefit your clients?
I am as invested as you are! With experience as both an owner-occupier and an investor, I have a deep understanding of the property market from all angles. I love saving money and creating structures that best suit my client’s personal positions and property goals. My background allows me to offer practical, informed advice to help you make the most of your investments.
What do you enjoy most about working with clients to achieve their homeownership goals?
Seeing clients obtain their first home is incredibly rewarding, but it’s even more satisfying when they secure their first investment property. At that point, you know they’re on their way to a more secure and flexible financial future. It’s fulfilling to be a part of that journey and to help them achieve their dreams.
What hobbies or interests do you enjoy outside of the world of property and finance?
With a 3-year-old daughter, a lot of my time is currently spent at the Adelaide Zoo. While I excel at finding lending solutions for my clients, I’m still honing my skills in entertaining a toddler! Despite appearances, I manage to play indoor soccer twice a week and Masters Softball with a group of aging state players from years past, which I absolutely love. During the winter season, I work while skiing – clients are often surprised to learn I can discuss bank policies on the slopes. Thanks to Air Pods, multitasking has never been easier!
